Named for Gertrude Cleo Lythgoe, known as 'Queen of the Bootleggers,' Gertie's Whiskey Bar celebrates freethinking and individualism, at the bar and in the glass. Gertie’s was named the Best Whiskey Bar in Tennessee by Thrillist, and offers over 600 bottles of rare and hard to find whiskeys.

Gertie’s Whiskey Bar, located in the heart of the Gulch neighborhood of Nashville and downstairs from The 404 Kitchen, offers unique cocktails, rare and unusual wines and has one of the largest whiskey selections in the south. The beverage program offers both classic cocktail preparations and original craft cocktails, and a curated selection of wines offered by the glass and the bottle, many hand selected by celebrated Chef Matt Bolus. The Whiskey Society was launched in 2018 to bring local whiskey lovers together to celebrate and explore everything whiskey-related. Our weekly Whiskey Wednesday at Gertie's features one of our select whiskies that will be half off pours, all night long. Gertie's Whiskey Bar, recently opened, and located in the new NuLu Marketplace on E. Market Street in Louisville, Kentucky, is a neighborhood whiskey bar that celebrates the art and history of drinking with a curated whiskey list, hand crafted cocktails, as well as a wine and beer menu. The bar features seating around a circular center bar, table seating around the walls of the space, outdoor high-tops in the courtyard, and a "speakeasy" style bar downstairs with lounge seating available for booking your private event and open to the public.
