Gertie’s Whiskey Bar will host the ultimate Kentucky Derby party, complete with over-the-top hats, Derby-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and specialty cocktails
On Saturday, May 4th, Gertie’s Whiskey Bar will be the spot for Nashville’s 2024 Kentucky Derby celebration. Partnering with Woodford Reserve, guests will enjoy Nashville’s recreation of Churchill Downs for an authentic Kentucky Derby party filled with mint juleps, elaborate hats, and the year’s most celebrated horse race.
The party begins at 4PM as guests walk the red carpet in their best Derby outfits and step into Gertie’s, where the downstairs will serve as the infield of Churchill Downs. Guests will enjoy a special menu of traditional Kentucky Derby cocktails featuring Woodford Reserve and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Matt Bolus and his culinary team. Every guest will also have access to the event photo booth complete with Derby props, one entry in the Derby raffle for a chance to win special release bottles of Woodford Reserve and other prizes, and the opportunity to vie for the coveted spot of Best Derby Hat for which the winner will also take home a special prize.
Guests with “Millionaire Row” tickets will have additional event access, including upstairs access to the loft and rooftop patio at The 404 Kitchen for continued hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a viewing of the race projected in the loft. Following the race, Millionaire Row ticket holders will enjoy a seated 4-course dinner served with a special cocktail menu by Brown Forman and Woodford Reserve and red or white wine selected by The 404 Kitchen’s beverage team.
Advance ticket purchase is available via Eventbrite. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
Ticket options include:
- The Infield Pass -$35 per person; the Infield pass includes downstairs-only access to the event photo booth, entry into the day’s raffles, entry into the Best Derby Hat contest, unlimited hors d’oeuvres during the event, and two drink tickets for specialty cocktails from the Brown Forman cocktail menu featuring Woodford Reserve. Following the two drink tickets, guests are welcome to enjoy the cash bar.
- The Millionaire’s Row Pass - $125 per person; guests with Millionaire’s Row access will have access to all of the perks of the downstairs Infield Pass, as well as upstairs access to enjoy an open bar, additional hors d’oeuvres and the seated 4-course dinner following the race.
